Why is the data telling me two different things?

Occasionally you might see slight data differences across our products. We know this can make it appear like the data is inaccurate, when actually there is usually one of three simple explanations:

1. To provide you with the most relevant and accurate data, we use multiple sources. The source we’ve selected will be the one most relevant for the subject – for instance we request special data feeds for our Premium Data extensions, such as CCJs. Unfortunately however, multiple suppliers sometimes provide slightly differing data.
2. Our information is updated on varying schedules, depending on when it is provided to us. If one data source has been updated slightly more recently than another, it can temporarily show differing results. Rest assured, that these will be brought in line in the next update. 3. Occasionally, especially for smaller companies, the data is an estimate. How this is estimated can differ depending on data source. We always tell you where an estimate is used, so you can process accordingly.

So why do we do this?

In many cases, differing data sources have been selected by choice – we want to bring you the most accurate or applicable source of information, or it may be that we’re working with a source that has been specifically requested by your organisation.

However, FullCircl was born from a combination of Artesian and DueDil. As we continue to bring our products together to from a single offering, we will also be looking at how we merge some of this data. Therefore some of these small data differences are likely to reduce in the future.
