Introduction to Company Financials
The Financials tab gives you the ability to quickly check the financial context around a company, without sacrificing a depth of understanding. At any point, you can select the category of financial information you're interested in:
History
The financial history of a company going back up to 20 years is shown, and you can scroll back and forth using your trackpad or the arrows shown next to the dates. Companies House and Companies Registration Office keep company and company director information on file for 20 years. Because we mirror the data in the official registries, our data doesn't go over the 20-year mark.
To help contextualise the information, there are indicators next to each figure showing how it changed since the next most recent filing (ie. whether the company is growing or declining).
You can create a graph or chart of any of the financial figures we hold and can add in multiple figures for comparison.
Growth
The financial growth tab gives you the growth and CAGR for each financial figure, to help you gain a fuller understanding of a company's health and performance.
Notes
The notes section provides a bit of insight into how growth figures are calculated.
Exporting
You can export the full financial history and growth of a company to CSV. Simply click the 'Download' button at the top right of the page, and select your preference to start the download.
Company Type and Reporting Obligations
All limited and unlimited companies in the UK and Ireland are obliged to file annual accounts with Companies House and Companies Registration Office respectively. However, small and medium sized companies don’t have to disclose full profit and loss accounts or balance sheets (although some still chose to do so). These accounts are called abbreviated accounts in the UK and abridged accounts in Ireland. For this reason, certain companies will display limited financial information.
