Introduction
The Group tab gives a graphical representation of a company's parents and subsidiaries, allowing you to quickly and easily understand otherwise complex and indecipherable relationships.
The ultimate parent of the group of companies will always be the darkest shade of orange, and each subsequent shade of orange represents a different level in the corporate family tree.
Double clicking a company brings it to the centre of the page, and double clicking a company with a halo reveals any further subsidiaries it has.
Single clicking a company brings up a preview card with basic information on the company - you can click through to individual company pages from these cards to investigate further.
You can easily add all the companies in one group to a list using the button in the top left of the group graph.
Shareholdings & Group graphs
The Group Graph will only reflect the controlling interest/ stakes of a company’s stock.
In most cases, controlling interest will be achieved with 50% (or above) of a company’s voting stock.
In some cases, controlling interest can be achieved with less than 50% of ownership if there are many other shareholders and all their stakes are relatively small.
The group graph will not reflect minority shareholdings.
