Introduction
DueDil's Salesforce connector allows you to seamlessly create and update records in your CRM with our accurate and up-to-date data, freeing your time from admin so you can spend it doing what you do best. It's available to our Enterprise customers as an add-on to their accounts. If you're a current customer, contact your account manager for more information.
To configure the Salesforce connector, it's advisable to set up an administrator (get in touch with us to set one up if you haven't already) to configure the connector, to ensure the information being moved across from DueDil to Salesforce is uniform. The administrator should also ensure that all users have Salesforce permissions to create accounts, contacts and leads for the connector to work successfully.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to configure your salesforce connector.
Step 1: Integrate DueDil with Salesforce
To set up the connection between your Salesforce and DueDil accounts, go to https://app.duedil.com/account/linked-accounts, select the Salesforce option, and enter your Salesforce login details. Each individual user will need to link their accounts.
Users must have Salesforce permissions to create accounts, contacts and leads for the connector to work successfully.
To configure how data is sent from DueDil to Salesforce, we advise that you set up an administrator, who will be able to set, standardise and lock the settings.
Click 'Salesforce' under CRM Preferences in your account settings to configure your preferences for creating and updating accounts, contacts and leads with DueDil data.
Step 2: Configure your account settings
To configure the Salesforce connector, go to the 'Salesforce' page under CRM Preferences in your account settings. Here you will be able to:
It's then a simple case of matching your Salesforce fields to DueDil data fields. (we've provided some defaults to help you get started). Select the Salesforce field you would like to add and then the corresponding DueDil field. DueDil Enterprise account administrators can save and lock these settings so they apply to their entire team.
Please note that if you have custom fields in your Salesforce, you'll need to use the Static Value DueDil field. Incorrectly configured custom fields, and required fields that aren't covered by DueDil data, will prevent the connector from creating records in Salesforce.
The fields you can export from DueDil to Salesforce are as follows:

Step 3: Start adding companies
To help you spend less time on tedious data admin, and to help make sure the data in your Salesforce is up to date, uniform and accurate, you can use the Salesforce connector to send your list of results across as leads.
The connector will add the directors and secretaries of each company as a lead to Salesforce.
You'll then be able to customise and confirm the export.
DueDil will also alert you if the lead already exists in your CRM and it will flag this as a duplicate.
