NUTS 1 - UK divided into 12 regions
To search by NUTS 1 on DueDil, you can use the regional names: Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, North East, North West, Yorkshire and The Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, London, South East, and South West. -
NUTS 2 - UK divided into 40 regions
If you wish to search by NUTS 2 on DueDil you will need to use the name of the area the code describes rather than the code itself. For example, for UKC1 you would need to type in Tees Valley and Durham. -
NUTS 3 - UK divided into 174 regions
Similarly, if you wish to search by NUTS 3 on DueDil you will need to use the name of the area the code describes rather than the code itself. For example, for UKD11 you would need to type in West Cumbria. - District Wards such as 'Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale Ward'
- Unitary Authority Wards such as 'Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh Ward'
- Metropolitan District Wards such as 'Harewood Ward'
- London Borough Wards such as 'Darwin Ward'
The Location filter on DueDil will allow you to filter down your company search by Country, Registered Address and Trading Address.
Within the Address search, you can use a range of region types that are outlined below:
NUTS Codes:
NUTS codes in the UK are broken down into 3 levels (NUTS 1, NUTS 2 and NUTS 3). These are representative of subdivisions for statistical purposes.
Urban Area:
An urban area must have at least 20 ha and at least 1,500 census residents. An example of an urban area is London or Manchester.
District:
A District in the UK is a level of subnational division used for the purposes of local government. An example is Eden District.
DueDil will also surface Metropolitan Districts such as Doncaster District.
County:
A County is a subnational division in the UK used for administrative, geographical and political demarcation purposes. An example you can search by is North Yorkshire County.
Post Town:
Post towns are made up of one or more postcode districts. Larger post towns will use more than one post district. For example, if you want to search for Crawley you can use RH10 and RH11.
Postcode Area:
The postcode area is either one or two characters long and is all letters. An example you can search for is L for Liverpool or RH for Redhill and EH for Edinburgh.
Postcode District:
The postcode district is made of the post code area plus one or two digits. It is between two and four characters long. An example is: "W1A".
Postcode Sector:
Postcode sector will include the postcode district and the first character of the inward code. It is typically between four and six characters. An example you can search by is is SW1W 0.
Postcode Unit:
Postcode Unit is two characters added to the end of postcode sector. Each unit will represent a street, part of a street or a single address. An example you can search for is AB10 1EP.
London Borough:
DueDil will also allow you to search by Boroughs in London such as the 'London Borough of Bromley'.
Unitary Authority:
In the United Kingdom, "unitary authorities" are English local authorities which are responsible for almost all local government functions within such areas. An example is Highland.
Wards:
The London boroughs, the metropolitan boroughs and the non-metropolitan districts (including most unitary authorities) are divided into wards for local elections.
