The Pinned Stories page allows you to see the articles you have pinned from your Artesian newsfeeds, the Ready App or your email alerts.
News articles within Artesian will remain in your newsfeed for a maximum of 60 days (with Tweets and Blogs remaining for 14 days) before they are removed. Pinning an article will keep it in your profile indefinitely.
To pin an article, hover your mouse over until the Social Gestures menu appears then click on the Pin icon.
From the Pinned Stories page you can choose to perform a number of social gestures and other actions on the articles you have pinned. You can:
- Copy the link to your clipboard to paste into an email, document, web browser or instant messaging application
- Share it on Twitter, LinkedIn, or with a colleague who also uses Artesian
- Add it your email client's calendar
- Email it to a colleague or customer using a pre-built email template
- Delete it from your bookmarks when you have with finished it
Clicking on this button will provide a shortened link to the article ready for you to copy and paste into whichever format you choose. You'll be able to track how many times these links have been clicked from the Influence page.
You can share an article of interest with your Twitter followers or LinkedIn connections. This may help you to build social relationships with customers, peers and colleagues as you can congratulate people personally.
Adding a news article to your calendar will allow you to diarise it, should you want to discuss it with colleagues/customers during a meeting or call. To do this, click the ‘Calendar’ option.
This will add the article title and link to your diary. You can then choose to invite attendees to a meeting to discuss the content or you can set the article as a reminder to yourself for a specified date and time.
Clicking the Email button will provide you with a list of templates you can use to quickly and easily share an article with a colleague or customer. If none of these templates are of interest to you, you can select the ‘Blank Email’ template which will give you the article title and link but allow you to type in your own text.
